Job Details
- Position: Room Attendant
- Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
- Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible shifts available)
- Shift Pattern: Morning and day shifts, including weekends
- Salary: £11.50 – £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime: Paid as per UK labour regulations
Key Responsibilities
As a Room Attendant, your daily duties will include:
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to hotel standards
- Changing bed linens, replacing towels, and restocking amenities
- Maintaining cleanliness in bathrooms and sanitising all surfaces
- Vacuuming, dusting, and ensuring overall room presentation
- Reporting maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor
- Managing housekeeping supplies responsibly
- Following all health and safety guidelines
- Working with the housekeeping team while also handling individual tasks
- Respecting guest privacy and responding to requests professionally
- Keeping corridors and service areas clean and organised
Skills and Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not mandatory
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Ability to handle physically active tasks
- Basic communication skills in English
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment is a plus
