Role Overview
In this Kitchen Porter Job, you will support the kitchen team during evening and closing shifts. Your primary responsibility will involve cleaning the kitchen, washing equipment and utensils, organizing workstations, and ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for the next day’s cooking operations.
You will also support the restaurant team in maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring all kitchen areas remain clean, safe, and operational during busy service periods.
This role requires a reliable, hardworking, and organized individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize the entire kitchen before restaurant closing
- Wash dishes, cookware, kitchen utensils, and service equipment
- Ensure all kitchen stations are properly cleaned and organized
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with cleaning and operational tasks
- Maintain hygiene standards across kitchen and storage areas
- Dispose of waste correctly and maintain bin areas responsibly
- Mop floors, clean counters, and sanitize preparation areas
- Organize kitchen supplies and maintain cleanliness of storage spaces
- Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for next-day operations
- Support smooth restaurant closing procedures every evening
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Working Hours
- Part-time position
- 4 to 5 hours per day
- Evening to restaurant closing shifts
- Weekend and peak-hour availability may be required
Salary & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: Approximately £13 per hour
