Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and serve a wide range of beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options, while ensuring consistency and presentation standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally, and therefore building a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere
- Take accurate orders, process them efficiently, and coordinate with the service team to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic bar area, while adhering strictly to health & safety and food hygiene regulations
- Monitor stock levels regularly, and therefore ensure timely replenishment of bar supplies, garnishes, and ingredients
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions, while following company financial procedures
- Ensure full compliance with UK licensing laws, including responsible alcohol service and age verification policies
- Upsell beverages, suggest pairings, and promote special offers, while also enhancing overall guest satisfaction and revenue
- Manage high-volume service periods effectively, while maintaining speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Collaborate closely with team members, and therefore contribute to a smooth and efficient front-of-house operation
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, while maintaining a positive brand image
- Assist in bar setup and closing procedures, including cleaning, stock checks, and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender within bars, pubs, restaurants, or hotels in the UK or similar hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation techniques, spirits, wines, and beers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport with a diverse customer base
- Ability to multitask efficiently, while working under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail, and therefore commitment to quality and presentation
- Sound understanding of UK alcohol licensing laws, Challenge 25 policy, and responsible service standards
- Numeracy skills for handling transactions, while ensuring accuracy and accountability

- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal bartending or hospitality training certification
- Previous experience in high-end bars, cocktail lounges, or premium hospitality venues
- Knowledge of craft cocktails, mixology trends, and beverage innovation
- Basic wine knowledge, including varietals and pairing recommendations
